A lifetime would still never have been long enough with you. On January 28th we said goodbye to our entire world—our precious fur baby, our constant, our greatest love, Jase.

For ten beautiful years, you were woven into every part of our lives, filling our days with joy, comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. The heartbreak we feel is indescribable, a pain so deep it reaches every corner of our hearts.. It feels like we’ve lost a piece of our soul. We don’t know how to navigate this world without you in it, as the biggest part of our identity was being “Jasers parents”.

The quiet that fills the house now is deafening, a constant reminder that you’re no longer here. I can’t seem to grasp the fact we will no longer wake up hearing the soft tap of your paws, or come home to your excited little whines that always made us smile. We will miss the way you loved your “pig/piggers,” and how your big, comforting snores filled the air as we drifted off to sleep. You were the heart of our home.

Losing you has changed us forever, because loving you changed us forever too. You made us better, kinder, and fuller, sweet “Dobby/Doberino/Mr. Dobby”. What an incredible privilege it was to love you with our whole hearts.

We hope you’re running free now—chasing balls, enjoying all your favourite treats, and have your pig/piggers close. But more than anything, we hope you know just how deeply you are loved. You were our baby, our family, our home. The love Mom and Dad have for you will never fade, and neither will the memories of the happiness you brought into our lives.

You are the best boy there ever was; missed beyond words and loved beyond measure. We will carry you with us always, in every heartbeat, every memory, and every quiet moment. Until the day we meet again, rest easy our sweet boy.

Passed peacefully away surrounded by his lovely family, our precious Jack. For 16+ years he was a fierce protector of his territory, devoted to his family. Mealtime will never be the same. He waited patiently for the tap of a plate, knowing a dinner treat would be placed in his bowl. He had his people & knew where to run for a treat; across the garden or visiting neighbors with a treat bag. We know he’s running free in heaven’s garden with his friend, Skipper. Our family had been truly blessed.

I remember getting Scarlette at the SPCA. She horked a lot, sometimes I’d find little slug like hairballs around. She was gentle but fierce and knew how to defend her self. She was a queen. We don’t know what she went through but she had a few good years in the end. I never could have predicted she would only live 2 years more after adopting her. We believe Scarlette was sick before she was even adopted. Scarlette loved to sit on the patio rail, one time she even caught a bird by jumping off the patio from way up high. She caught so many dragonflies. I’m sorry Scarlette. I’m just glad you’re not in pain anymore. Scarlette loved sitting, sleeping, and lounging in cardboard boxes. She loved being brushed, having her ears cleaned, and her eyes washed.

Sasha loved when she could jump off the dock into the water to catch her tennis ball. She loved going for walks, she didn’t need a leash because she would always follow along.

Gizmo was our beloved grumpy 13 year old man, he was adopted in 2015 and has lived in all different areas of Newfoundland. He loved tubey treats and sunbathing on the back deck. Gizmo chose he who he loved and who he didn’t, hes our silly fat boy always wanting to eat grass. His purrs were like a old motor running but you felt the love of this chonky old man.

You may think of Maggie as a dog, but she thought she was one of us, human. Trips to the dog park meant sitting on the bench getting all the attention from humans while watching the other dogs run around and play. Although being a golden retriever, she never bothered with water and swimming unless it came from the garden hose in which she would try to catch the water in her mouth. When going on walks she would always know when we were close to home. That’s when she would take the leash from us and carry it in her mouth, walking herself home. Maggie always loved attention and a good ear rub. She was a smart girl who learned how to trick us into giving her extra treats. Maggie was a big part of her siblings childhoods and made it extra special. She was certainly the queen of the house and her presence will be forever missed.

Ziggy was my soul mate; my beautiful best friend. He healed so much heartbreak in 13 years. I can hardly put into words the impact he has had on my life. I remember the day I brought him home at 6 weeks old on his little grey blanket. From that day on, we created a bond that was unique and unbreakable. Ziggy would sleep with me every night, laying on my chest. He followed me everywhere I went, enjoyed lounging in the garden with me, watching movies together, even taking baths together (yes it’s true!) He sensed all of my emotions and always cheered me up with his gentle purr or a soft kiss. The loss I feel for you Ziggy is profound. I will never forget you, never replace you, and will never feel whole again. I love you so much, my Bug, my Bubs, my Love.
