Waking up with her beside me. Asking for treats and picking out the jar with her favourite one in it. Wanting Belly Rubs Over And Over. Getting in her chair and lifting her paw for these rubs. She had certain people for different things. When people came to her home some she asked for a cookie and some belly rubs. Camping she absolutely loved. Where she would go swimming for sticks and by the campfire. Listening to every word you were saying (because if you said car or going up back, she was ready to go). We loved chasing her around the house, almost like we were playing tag. She also loved to play hide and seek. Every year we loved watching her play with the ornaments on our Christmas tree. We also enjoyed dressing her up for Halloween. Sitting outside in the sun with her was so relaxing.

Singing lullabies to him as a kid to ‘put him to sleep’. Listening to his purr. Hearing his little chirp when you scared him awake or picked him up. Watching him lay on his food tray to eat and always making a mess. Giving him belly rubs. Making him a little birthday cake every year. Singing “Oh dickypuss, oh dickypuss” (Oh Christmas tree) every Christmas. Every cuddle and kiss he gave. How he always came to you when he heard you crying. How he’d let you do anything to him because he was so patient and loved everything one no matter what. When he’d lay directly on peoples face when you laid down close enough and didn’t have the heart to move him because he was so comfy. Seeing his tongue stick out sometimes. Every memory is the best.

Waking up to find my sweet boy asleep, like a baby, on my arm. He was the sweetest, snuggliest boy. He loved being in bed, and he loved belly rubs from his human brother, Julian.

Finny use to try so hard to jump up on counter tops, but most of his first tries, he would not make it.

Then he’d look at me, as if to say, ok, help me now.

I sure loved him.
