You may think of Maggie as a dog, but she thought she was one of us, human. Trips to the dog park meant sitting on the bench getting all the attention from humans while watching the other dogs run around and play. Although being a golden retriever, she never bothered with water and swimming unless it came from the garden hose in which she would try to catch the water in her mouth. When going on walks she would always know when we were close to home. That’s when she would take the leash from us and carry it in her mouth, walking herself home. Maggie always loved attention and a good ear rub. She was a smart girl who learned how to trick us into giving her extra treats. Maggie was a big part of her siblings childhoods and made it extra special. She was certainly the queen of the house and her presence will be forever missed.

Ziggy was my soul mate; my beautiful best friend. He healed so much heartbreak in 13 years. I can hardly put into words the impact he has had on my life. I remember the day I brought him home at 6 weeks old on his little grey blanket. From that day on, we created a bond that was unique and unbreakable. Ziggy would sleep with me every night, laying on my chest. He followed me everywhere I went, enjoyed lounging in the garden with me, watching movies together, even taking baths together (yes it’s true!) He sensed all of my emotions and always cheered me up with his gentle purr or a soft kiss. The loss I feel for you Ziggy is profound. I will never forget you, never replace you, and will never feel whole again. I love you so much, my Bug, my Bubs, my Love.

He was just the sweetest dog you could ask for. He was abused by his first owner, but we gave him a great 10 years. He loved everyone but cats. He hated cats. You will never be forgotten Mike

Ruby was adopted from the SPCA in 2012 as a puppy and spent 13 wonderful years with her family. She was down for every adventure and often could be found walking Southbrook Trail or sniffing out a piece of food someone left behind. Ruby was a puppy heart even until her last days with us. She will be forever missed!

My sweet, sweet Rafa, how I miss you.

All memories of you are our favourite; I loved that you had momma so well trained, I knew every bark and whine as if it was my second language. Rafa was the biggest personality in the room at a weight of 8 pounds, Rafa ruled the home with the same ferocity he ruled our hearts, we’re lost without you but so thankful that you stayed for 14 and half years, and that we got to love you every day of each year. Although I wish I had more time, I know that you were finally able to run again and that pai was at the rainbow bridge waiting to take you for the biggest walk.

Our every day moments of quiet companionship, first time seeing him at the SPCA, sharing food off our plates with him, watching him sleep by the fire, enjoying time outside together, watching him be the life of the party, slow blinking, and snuggling.

Dobby loved her time spent around the bay at nan’s and pops, on her walks, swims in the pond and trips to the dump with pop. She loved stealing the sticks we had for campfires and had a blast chewing each and every part of them. She loved chasing after Louie and basking in the sun in the back yard. Our memories of Dobby are endless. Although her time was short, she lived life to the fullest. She was the happiest pup despite the many challenges that she faced. We love and miss you so much.

Candy used to follow us around everywhere and was dubbed our little shadow. She always loved going to the cabin and fetching a stick in the water and swimming. As she got older, she enjoyed going in the kayak with Jenelle. She had a beautiful smile and she was quite the diva. Always took little dainty bites of whatever she was given. She loved cuddling up in the dog bed with her fur siblings, Maggie and Jessie. She will be forever missed and loved.
