When comet was 5 years old, he got out of the house accidentally. After looking for a few days we couldn’t find him and we started to get worried. One night a few days after Comet getting out, Comets mom went for a night time walk around our block. On her way home she felt like she needed to call out his name 1 last time, so she yelled out “Comet” 3 times. After yelling out his name, she then felt something touching her leg. When she looked down, their comet was.

Duke was the most lovable, social, happy, well mannered boy you could have ever met! We loved him with all our hearts and we know that he loved us back just as much! he will forever be in our hearts! We have lots of good memories to hold close to us during the hard days ahead.

On June 4th 2008, the Red Wings won the cup they played great. Then Christa’s mother came over to drop off a cake. We found it strange cause it was late. Then we realized it wasn’t true, it was orange and white kitten no bigger than a shoe. Even though I was a bit weary, I thought it was fitting to name him after Dan Cleary.
So through much laughter and some tears, Cleary stayed for 15 years.
He jumped our backs and laid on our laps, slept on our chest by our heads on the sofa and in our beds.
He danced with his mom and made her sing, he was handsome like a King, just call his name and he would appear, bringing joy to everyone near. So at the vet for his final stay I thought about how we taught Cleary about life, friendship, compassion and love everyday, but as his final moments counted down Cleary showed us no, it was the other way around.
So when our time comes to go up to the sky and our family and friends comes to meet us, I’m sure Cleary will be the first to greet us, with his tail straight up and his head held high, he will once again look us straight in the eye.
And though we know he had to depart he will always be in our heart. And even though he made us cry we know it’s not his last Good Bye.

Aster was our foster fail in 2018. We had fostered Aster who was just 7 months old, who was a feral, very shy, and skittish kitten who needed a lot of work and a lot of love. We took our time with him and come September when it was time to bring him back to the SPCA we just couldn’t let him go. So we adopted Aster and he became a very special part of our family, still needed a lot of work but after a year or so he came around and was just the most amazing boy, even if he was a great big ball of fur. His best pal of our other 2 cats was Zero who he spent a lot of time cuddled up with on the bed or couch and from time to time would groom his little brother. Zero is missing his pal immensely as is his sister Josie. We lost Aster on November 19th of this year and that day our hearts broke into pieces. We loved him beyond measure but he had the best life we could possibly provide him, even if it was only for 4 years.
