It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our most loyal companion Jake Lopez a.k.a “Buckethead” Our Handsome Golden Retriever Born on March 5th,2015. Jake joined our family on April 26th,2015For those who knew Jake , know that when you met Jake you had a furry friend for life. Jake gave us 11 years of loyalty, comfort and genuine love. He was our bandit for missing socks the reason our lawnmower kept getting caught up on sticks, rocks and of course Jake could never turn down a chance of eating bread.
Jake in the beginning was our first kid, the first to teach us how to care for something other than ourselves, Jake seen us through different milestones like our first home, marriage and loss, it was during those times he caught our tears when they fell. Jake was our comfort during storms
When our son Wyatt came along Jake was gentle accepting this new little person in his life. Since Jake’s passing there is a quiet, empty feeling in all our hearts. A stillness where his presence once was.
We wanted to spend the rest of our lives with him, but instead we are honoured he was chosen to spend the rest of his life with us
You left paw prints on our hearts forever Jakey boy,
Run free now in the green grassy fields of heaven, with your new little person our beloved Owen. We will miss you Jake ,Greeting us at the door with your favourite toy, your head nudge for a scratch and a paw laid on our hand for a touch. We will love and miss you forever my friend
