Lucy

Lucy loved her scratches and rubs, but if you stopped she would paw you until you started rubbing her again.
All I had to do was say “car” or “walk” and she’d awaken from a sound sleep, raise her head and stare at me until Id say “let’s go!”
She loved hanging her head out the car window, I will certainly miss the happiness on her face with her ears flapping in the wind.
Walking her to the lake and watching her play in the pond and then retrieve to the beach to lie down and sun bathe for a few minutes before heading home were special times. She really enjoyed walking through the woods off leash to get there. She would get home and sleep for hours afterwords.
Lucy loved winter, especially after a good snowfall. Once outside she would roll around in the snow until every inch of her body was covered in snow, then she would dive head first in the snow to sniff something out. All you would see is her two ears as the rest of her head was in the snow. It was hilarious to watch.
She would lie for hours next to us sat out at the firepit during the summer and fall evenings, she loved the tranquility as much as we did.
She loved playing with her puppy friends, she was so gentle with the little ones.
Lucy was a gentle, playful, soul, she loved everyone and everything.
Lucy was perfect, a one of a kind companion and she will be missed terribly.
Ten years and ten months wasn’t enough time with you.
Rest in peace my sweet girl.
