Mia was a Jug. A Jack Russel mixed with Pug. She was an unexpected addition to our family in the fall of 2008. We were making plans to move to NL from ON with our family and adding a pet wasn’t something we were looking to do. A work friend was showing off pictures of puppies one day during lunch break and a week later we had Mia.
From the first moment she had us wrapped around her tiny paws. I have never felt more loved by any other being. She was one of a kind.
Mia loved to be with us no matter where we were or what we were doing. She loved walks, hikes, camping trips, evenings laying on a blanket next to the firepit, and snuggling down behind your legs while we watched our favourite tv shows. She was an all round fantastic companion.
She was gentle with little kids but loved to play and wrestle with the adults and her bigger fur sisters. She was full of energy and hard to tire out. No matter what was on the agenda, she was up for it.
We miss our girl every single day. It’s been a year now since she left us and it hurts just as much now as it did then. But we have so many beautiful memories with our girl.
When she left us, Angel Paws took care of her for us. We will never be able to express how much we appreciate the care, compassion and professionalism of their services.
Our pets are only with us for part of our lives. It isn’t nearly long enough. We love you Mia. Xo
